Is it really this complicated? Feeling a bit overwhelmed!

Same with mine. Not that they even try. Could be due to seeing one of the cats through the door last summer. They all went scrambling off the porch. Bruce

Ah, but you bought adult birds! I would agree 120% with "make sure the coop is ready first" in that case. 2 day old chicks need LITTLE space and give you plenty of time to build the coop assuming: You DO have a plan. If it is an "easy build" meaning minimum of cuts, no need for concrete pads...

OK, I'll bite: What is "beer evading"? Beer: malted alcoholic beverage Evading: escaping or avoiding You were avoiding beer for a year while figuring out what to do? Well, thinking with a clear head IS a good idea! Me too. That is why I bought the Golden Feather membership - to help support...

Is it really this complicated? Feeling a bit overwhelmed!

I don't have time tonight to read all the replies so I'll probably repeat some things others have said. It is NOT complicated. I was a newbie last year, I was just barely thinking about MAYBE wanting to get some chickens at this time last year. Getting chicks. 1) Some hatcheries ALWAYS have...
