I think you're getting scammed. This reminds me of that big insurance fraud ring discovered up around Lawrence, MA some years back. Something like 300+ illegals, their lawyers and some chiropractors, etc. were staging car accidents, doing intentional damage and faking injuries to defraud...

Look into this person's background and prior contact with the legal system, both civil and criminal.
