my silkies roost. I have low roosts about 40 cm above the floor. if you don't like their looks it is another story. I keep them exactly because they look weird. they will probably be the last breed I give up. I like different.

each country has different threats. ask them. in greece it is IB and newcastle's. layers for farms might be vaccinated against marek's as well. marek's in greece is rare. I've heard only a few caged farms have had marek's and not often either.

glad you are well. tsouloufates are greek crested landrace chicken (tsouloufi = crest). czech dominant chickens are good layers.
