@fluffycrow @MysteryChicken Update: Last night, the sanctuary has confirmed BitBit's and her parents' breed to be mixed breeds and are rescues.

You may be correct in BitBit's breed. She differs vastly from her parents.

Update: The sanctuary has sent me a photo of an adult BitBit. This is what she looks like:

These chickens are from the USA, as @fluffycrow said. We're still trying the real mixed breed between what and what.

So, @MysteryChicken, how many crosses and backcrosses did you own?

Hmm, it's interesting. Bitsy turned 6 this year, I don't know about Itsy's age yet.

@fluffycrow @MysteryChicken These mixed breeds such as these chickens are not common in my area, like I mentioned earlier. The sanctuary named the chickens Itsy and Bitsy, with their offspring named BitBit.

Cute! That's what I thought. Remember I am somewhat new to breed identification. Jellybean was a nice chook.

These are not my chickens. Just letting you know. Oh, and I don't live in America. Mixed breeds (except commercial hybrids) are relatively rare in my area.

They do have a large group of chickens and a coop, so they might know about them, but not the breeds of the two chickens mentioned.

Maybe they don't remember the breed anymore over time? They were good at ID'ing breeds in 2017 but they don't anymore as of 2023.

I think they owned them or rescued. Here's the response to the question that I asked the Happy Wings Sanctuary on the silver chicken:

They did claim the breed was a serama mix a few years ago, but they don't know anymore last time I asked them the breed ID question for their bantams.

Have you tried contacting the Happy Wings Sanctuary on their facebook page to see which breed the chickens are?

They claimed they were a serama mix on an old post on Facebook.

So, the American game is a possible breed based on the images?

@fluffycrow @MysteryChicken Here is the pair of chickens I was talking about. One of them has some salmon pink on the chest area.

Update: I have found the original source of the video. However, it is lower quality than the YouTube video provided.

They do rescue wildlife and farmed animals occasionally though. That's only in the US. (i'm also stopping here too). I know they have some wonky colours and stuff.

Hmm... Maybe they want people to go vegan? Could be a possible reason. What are some funky things that might happen to the breed?
