How to keep water fresh for up to two weeks without using a hose?

I don't. Just trying to save some money. I can buy two float valves for $16 since I already have the bucket and waterers. I think the other thing is just a hose. I'll take some time when I get back to think on this.

How to keep water fresh for up to two weeks without using a hose?

It might be too late for me to get this now but I'll set it up next time I'm out of town. I already have the bucket and waterer. Does it look like all I need are the float valve and hose? Anyone have any idea? @MGG

How to keep water fresh for up to two weeks without using a hose?

Good to know! I have more confidence leaving one with nipples in the coop then. I'll have another one outside with cups just in case.

How to keep water fresh for up to two weeks without using a hose?

How to keep water fresh for up to two weeks without using a hose?

Have you noticed your water bill going up since you started doing this? So you can turn your fountain on but it won't take up more water than they need? Sorry if it's a dumb question, I've never used it before and that made me paranoid.

How to keep water fresh for up to two weeks without using a hose?

I think it will last them. In total they drink about 16oz of water a day. I'm more concerned about bacteria growing in it. Maybe ten days isn't a big deal?

How to keep water fresh for up to two weeks without using a hose?

I tried it this morning, the chicks actually started to catch on but I think the hens were already set in their ways. I switched it back to the water cups because I'm leaving tomorrow and didn't want them to get dehydrated. I'm thinking of giving them both options, one with the nipples in their...

How to keep water fresh for up to two weeks without using a hose?

I'm leaving for ten days and asked my brother to watch my chickens but he may not change their water. I've seen him let his dog's water bowl get pink so I'm hoping the water will be fine for that time I'm gone. I got them a 5 gallon bucket so they should have enough but it would be great if...
