Gold laced wyondette about 16 weeks. cockerel or pullet? I can't tell yet!

It's about 20 weeks old. It had a big tail feather that disappeared so I figured it was a rooster... But there's no crowing yet.

It's hard for me to tell if these are saddle/ hackle feathers... Here are some close up pics, let me know what you think.

Yes it's the same bird! And from what I read they don't usually lose those feathers.

This french black copper maran is about 14 weeks old. The comb and waddle scream cockerel but the tail feathers look pullet. What are your thoughts?
