You all just made my day-to-day I'm so happy I'll have to re-name Amelia! A little roo that is sweet & affectionate. I hope hestays that way! Thank you all I'm going to get a closer look at her feet comb and spur(s?)I got to say I didn't even realize how much difference there was in the combs...
Oh ok- so how do I tell the difference?
Here are my newest addition to our flock. 5 pullets. The lady who hatched them said 3 were barred rock. They have light colored & no feathers on shanks & feet. Can't remember what she said about the white & black ones.

I will check her feet again.
Next I have a barred rock-but how do you tell if she's a Lincolnshire buff or Plymouth? She has feathers on her shanks?
The next 2 pics are of the old girls- inherited from my father. Are they plymouth-how to you tell the difference in Lincolnshire?
Yea! I'd love my girls anyway but knowing the breed makes it more enjoyable thanks a bunch!
ok next is a beauty I'm thinking an EE...? How about you?[/IMG]her legs are dark & yellow on bottoms of feet. Feathers have blue/purple sheen in the sunlight
Anyone help a newbee with the breeds of my girls? PS. Looking for a rooster-(Iwant to start dabbling in hatching from eggs.)
My 1st girl"Buttercup" has very short legs & looks pi**ed off most of the time, cause she is so much smaller than everyone else!
