I ordered a case of it awhile back when I had my infestation from Amazon. Just one bite has the active ingredient that Mary mentioned in one of her posts, Bromadiolone.

This is what I use and I find a dead rat once in awhile. I had an infestation in one of the coops until I renovated it. Haven't seen a rat in quite awhile. The bait that came with the bait box didn't work as well as this bait did. I do have hanging 40# feeders in my coops.

I have not found any dead critters and there has been a couple of time that I didn't take the dead rat to dispose of it because it was getting dark so decided to do it the next morning but when I went out to get them and dispose of them they were gone???

That's what I bought. I also bought extra bait boxes...

I had a possum consuming the bait. I thought for sure the bait would kill it but it would come back night after night and destroyed a couple of my bait boxes. After doing some research I discovered they have an immunity to rat poison. Here is the possum with a chunk of the rat bait in it's mouth.

Each persons situation may be a bit different so the rat problem may have to be dealt with differently. My mistake was when we built this coop we put an inner wall in around the bottom of the coop and the rats chewed holes and made nests in-between the studs. There is actually a stud chewed...

This is what I use. I had a rat infestation in one of my coops. I rectified the problem with the coop and have these now in my barn which is behind my coops. In the past I have seen rats in the barn so I'm sure they traveled between the coops and the barn. I haven't seen a rat in quite awhile.
