Well, my trick worked. Hen went broody. As far as I know she is sitting on 11 to 13 eggs. It was 11 this morning but more might have been added. She started today that I am sure of. So we now wait.
So sorry sometimes they just do not get it.
When I bought chicks last year and put them under those that were broody. I had one peck at the chicks. I removed them to another hen. This one peck at any chick that came near her. I booted her out of being broody fast.
