I'm sorry. VermX doesnt prevent worms. It DOES prevent you from spending your hard earned money on real wormers such as Safeguard, Valbazen or Levamisole.
You wont see worms down a chickens throat. Capillary worms can infect the crop/ lower esophagus. Gapeworms in chickens are rare, but are located in the trachea.
Worms wont be seen in feces unless one dies of old age and is excreted. The only other time you'll see them is if there is an overload...

Keeping everything as dry as possible helps deter parasites. I use sand in the pens and coops. Sand doesnt wash away or cause nasty mudpuddles that birds love to drink. Sand dries quicker than dirt/mud. It's easier to scoop poop as well.
