    I just came in to munch on lunch carrot and I have 4 pairs of rose breasted grosbeaks on my feeders! I wish they stayed here year round, so pretty.

    Summer must be here. My first Rose breasted Grosbeak of the year showed this morning. They are one of the prettiest birds we have. I had to steal a photo has it is too dark to get a picture today. ..or my eyes are too bad today to see well enough to get the picture.

    Finches, snowbirds, bluejays, Cardinals, nuthatches and a few chipping sparrows. Snowbirds are actually Juncos.

    Birds are coming in in huge numbers in this storm. I think I saw a Cassin's finch in amongst our house finches. The crest is easy to see and the belly is white compared to the stripes on the house finches. Cassin's are not in this area. Bird pictures from today:

    It has been a while since we posted on this thread, however, in the middle of this snow storm I have had nothing to do but sit at the window and drink tea. This guy and his mate showed up. I tried to get her picture but she was camera shy. She is stunning this time of the year.

    That stupid turkey is one of mine. She has figured instead of cleaning up the waste seeds under the feeders, this one figured out, one little jump and she gets fresh seeds.. And it drives my wife bonkers when she is up there eating, so that is a bonus!

    We would love to have you join us!! This is a Minnesota Winter Hummingbird: Notice the innocent smile, the sweet song it sings and the beating wings.. I just love this.... I am freezing from snow plowing and seeing the stupid turkey jump into that feeder makes my day..
