Yes they are. I had to put some chicken wire up in the rafters. I looked out one night and I could see the silhouette of 4-5 of them actually sitting up in the rafters by the raised ventilation I put in...didn't want them to hurt a foot dropping that far down...live and learn.

Here is my attempt at a new coop. I have since added nesting boxes, finished the roof and the 32 ft run...completely predator proof as I have 2 fox dens just across my pond...:)

Mostly PLymouth Rocks, RIR, and White Leghorns. I am partial to the PR's, but I recently have a menagerie of Black Americaunas, Easter Eggers, Wellsummers. We'll see how they compare.

Hello everyone. I have been a farmer for 52 years and have chickens most of that time; however, I must say that none of my chickens ever lived such a lavish lifestyle as some of the coops and runs I have seen here in the BYC...lol
