Actually, I got the point, thanks. I don't help my chicks hatch, and I only wait a certain length of time before I dispose of non-hatching eggs. But if one of mine hatched and had splayed legs, I would personally splint it. Just my own opinion, which I was sharing, as you shared yours.

You can splint for splayed legs and they will be fine.
