    I love all ducks, always have, I'd be happy with pretty much any kind, but, now that I know just how many kinds and colors there are. The decision is harder. I just know I like the creamy/brown ones (harlequins??) found them so pretty. The magpies as my daughter thinks we should call the hobby...

    wifezilla, your hubby made a very good point, that's a good one, and such the obvious, thus why most probably don't think of that, haha. we have a marsh too, but, hopefully they like it, if not, kiddiepool it is.

    seems like an easy basic concept for ducks. not as high maintenance as chickens then, whew. how about in the winter, do you have heat lamps, insulated quarters. our winters don't get too cold, but, very damp, so feels colder then what the thermometer says.

    I am hoping to get some ducks by next spring. We are working on getting the chickens first, for my daughters sake. Been promising her chickens for years, well about 5 (she's only 7). I was considering putting ducks in with the chickens, but, I think it might be best to have them in their own...
