Thanks for the input. I'm begining to agree with you, natural cycle is usually best. Guess I was getting a little egg greedy.

My first year with laying hens. Is it better to give them extra light in winter so we get more eggs now or let them have their natural cycle? Does it make them lay less in the long run?
