Had an author coin the phrase, "Last Best Place" and another person tried to trademark it. Last I heard is they were heading for court. Hope these people get theirs for trying to trademark such a simple term.

Sounds like a pile of manure to me. Had a similar incident a few years ago with a designer trying to trademark the name Montana. It got thrown out. Found this site, http://www.uspto.gov/trademarks/index.jsp Not listed on there.
