clb? Yes those hens and same rooster are still together. I did lose one hen so I’ll only have two instead of the three. I hope it wasn’t her eggs that were producing the white chicks or this test run will be all for naught! (Is that the right term 😂)

I really think the father was my white leghorn and his sperm just lasted that long. Because the chicks would either be full white or some would come out almost white but with a hint of a chipmunk color. Those OE were chipmunk color when they were chicks. But I guess that’s a test I’ll have to...

lemme find a picture. I only had 3 olive eggers and they each laid a different shade and the white chicks only came out of one of the shade of olive eggs.

Now because of this thread I wish I would have kept hatching that hen’s eggs to see how long I would keep getting white chicks. Unfortunately I can’t replicate this because that white leghorn passed 😭 it was my hubby’s favorite too.
