What do you put in your nest box?
Usually the straw has some wheat that didn't make it into the combine. Hay is very green and straw is yellowish. JT- jthornton

What do you put in your nest box?
Hay or straw? Hay is for eating and straw is for bedding. I put a bale of straw in my run and cut the ropes and let my hens tear it apart. Then I stack it back up... JT- jthornton

Mine has a piece of carpet runner, but I have a roll out nest box. JT- jthornton
