It’s definitely chicken poop. It’s not raining this week so I lowered them halfway today. The run feels dry but I need to add some wood chips to soak up some poop. Here are some before pics.

Wow! That looks good. I’m using Dollar Tree curtains too but I’m noticing a smell now. I’m thinking about lowering the curtains to allow more air flow. I left a couple inches uncovered under the coop and about 5“ from the top of the run. Is there an advice amount of how much to cover the run...

I like this idea. I’ll need to try this next year. And it’s extra protection from predators! It‘s my first winter with chickens so I just covered 3 sides with clear shower curtains from the Dollar Tree. Not sure how well they will hold up but the girls seem warmer and it only cost me $3. Lol
