I had a hen that consistently laid extra jumbo eggs like that but I believe she passed away this winter. She laid this size consistently for several years! I never did figure out which hen it was. I just know that I am not getting any of those size this year and that several hens from that coop...

13 eggs today. Lost another hen a couple of days ago. Appears to have died of natural causes. It was at least 3 years old. Could have been older.

11 eggs yesterday, 8 the night before that. Haven't checked today yet.

I did not check last night, but this morning, umm, well okay, this afternoon when I let them out there were 22 eggs! I brought in 12 of them ( I only took out 1 egg carton). So I will have to see how many are out there when I lock up tonight. Should be at least 10.
