I had a wonderful 10 year old rooster who we got at age 4 because we were told he was past his prime..... He came with 4 older ladies who were still laying, but he adored them and they adored him. As we added to the flock I soon found out past his prime meant "shooting blanks." Didn't bother...

He needs to go and go now! He has shown signs of aggression before and it has escalated to this. In my experience he will not "come around" like from a bad day at work. There are so many wonderful roosters out there.......Don't keep him out of guilt or pity and fear. Some things are better...
