    EZ Frame Chicken Coop Build

They’re only 8 weeks old, so it’s serving as a grow out coop atm. Won’t be this many when they’re full grown!

    EZ Frame Chicken Coop Build

Thanks! I’m super happy with it! :-D Some of them are, yes! They are Ameraucana/D’Anvers or D’Anver/Watermaals. Some are pure d’Anvers and bantam Ameraucanas, and Watermaals, and a random frizzled Satin 🙃

Well it’s a functional coop! Just gotta add bird netting and shade cloth over the run! I hate the roof haha, so before the rainy season, we will be changing it. The precut panels are just not ideal for a solid seal. I just don’t feel good about potential for leakage…plus they’re not exact sizes...

    EZ Frame Chicken Coop Build

Made more progress last night and today! Hoping to get the bulk of it finished by end of the day 🤞🏻 Tried to level the coop, built the run, and fashioned the ramps from scraps, sprayed it with Flexseal, and hung the Coop Sign! Today, we are going to try attaching roof panels...

Yeah, they are not a well organized company! I waited over 2 months for them which is insane--especially with almost no communication in the meantime. I think the best bet is to buy them way in advance so you can wait out their long product ordering times. I'm wondering if they don't have much...

    EZ Frame Chicken Coop Build

You guys!! I really haven’t finished the Cooplex…but my Mothers Day gift from my husband was to work on it and finish it by tomorrow. Woohoo! Today we put on the walls that needed attaching, cut holes for and attached the coop doors, finally installed the side clean out doors, and cut...

    EZ Frame Chicken Coop Build

Well, if you've been watching the weather, you likely know that CA is WET. So we have been delayed again in taking the last steps on the EZ Frame coop! The sawing left and door attachment and such needs to be outside and site prep for the run won’t happen until things dry out 😩 I’m very...

    EZ Frame Chicken Coop Build

Well we are all done with the scraps coop! I tried using the leftover roof pieces and it looked awful 😣 they wouldn’t sit flush on top of each other so that the sealant could do its job. You can see how uneven it all looked and my perfectionist self just wasn’t able to let that fly 😆 So! Take...

    EZ Frame Chicken Coop Build

Well the EZ Frame coop is awaiting the weekend when we have time to measure out coop doors and fiddle with the bigger doors…so we spent tonight getting some of the scraps coop up and in place. I am by no means a carpenter and neither is my husband. That is what I am learning! The little things...

    EZ Frame Chicken Coop Build

Yes, that is very true! The frame kit is sized for 2x2s so you are correct that it may not work real well in this specific case! And the 2x2s fit very specifically in the joints.

Yes! If we had a table saw that would be much more affordable! We are quite limited in the tools department due to space and expertise 😆 So we paid for it! But it sure would make things even cheaper to do what you suggested! Maybe when I get my house with land I will get brave and buy real tools! 😁

    EZ Frame Chicken Coop Build

Yes they do and so far hasn't been a huge issue. As you screw the siding its very snug. I am finding the most frustrating part is measuring the cutouts on the boards when the connectors are wider than the posts. They also can be a bit annoying in the corners when attaching the siding and other...
