I had a sweet cockerel until the top hen went broody she has been inside the coop where he could see her and the chicks . Now he tries to kill her . Huh my hens settled down when I got the right tempered rooster . But then I wanted chicks so... It depends on the person and their wants for their flock . The right rooster makes for a great experience but a bad one will turn you against them. I think it depends on what the person is looking for...- lacychappell4
