BTW... does anyone know of anyone who has been cited for having more than 3 hens without a permit? I've never heard of anyone having this problem....

I realize I'm about 6 months late in participating in this thread, but thought I would chime in with my 2 cents.... It is correct (see above) that you can have 3 hens without a permit. It's also correct that with a permit you can have more hens, but still no rooster. Hubby and I had 3 hens up...
