Pricing is affected by age, sex, and quality of bird.
That being said $5 is a good place to start for very young cockerels (less than a month old) of any non-common breed like the marans and legbars.
You might want to price your marans a little higher since they are older (8 weeks old). If...
There is no calling ahead. First Come, First to pick a spot. The swap is done at the front of the feed store - in the parking lot and on the grass. There is overflow parking in the shopping center next door.
There is very little shade, so keep that in mind when you are deciding what to...
I will make a suggestion... Since the swap is not for a couple of more weeks, I would take photos of your chicks and post them on craigslist. In the past, I have rarely had any troubles selling my BCM cockerels through craigslist.
CMOM,
I am so glad you take the time to post these reminders. Spring hatching and planting is keeping me so busy that I totally forgot!
So.... What's everyone bringing?
Good reminder that the
Bent Creek Feed MONTHLY Swap meet JACKSONVILLE, FLA

What happened...............
I'll tell you why I don't frequent it.....
I would worry about the health of the birds I bought from there. I know some of the BYC people sell their extra roos there, but there are other folks who have...

The dry form is on the outside of the body and the birds have a high chance of survival without any assistance.
The wet form is on the inside of the body and leads to...

I will second this . .. . I had a fowl pox outbreak in my flock this past winter. . . .
I took one of the chickens in and he was put on very expensive antibiotics , over $100 for antibiotics and it was only enough for one bird for 14 days.
In order to get treatment for the rest of...

So far no crowing and the oldest cockerel is 10 weeks old. That beats the 3 week old bcm...
