My daughter mowed the yard today and you would have thought she stirred up a hornets nest. The number of lovebugs quadrupled while she was mowing...I guess she disturbed them. They also seem to be attracted to white more than other colors...particularly my white car!

They are awful right now. We thought they had run their course and then along came Ike and brought them all back. My chickens aren't eating them. If they taste like they smell when they are squashed...I wouldn't either.
