Attached the run to the coop. As you can see, the area has a slope to it. I'll make a little deck on the outside to make it easier to enter the run. I'm also going to add PT 2x8 under the run framing to fill in the gaps. I'll then add a 2’ HC skirt around the entire coop and run.
Need to wait...
Nothing gets past you, does it??
Lol.
I left that length of HC loose. I had it even with the end to keep it out of my way while working on the siding. Slid it over once I was ready to secure it to the siding.
Hardware cloth attached.
Run door hung.
Decided to close in the front of the run.
I ran the HC on the outside of the wall. Used fence staples for now. I'll probably add some screws and washers as added protection.
Started the hoop run today. Had some leftover 2x8x12 PT that were just short of 12’ that I used for the runs framing.
Cattle panels set in place. door framed out and support rafter in place.
Used 1 1/2" galvanized fence staples to secure the bottom of the panels to the frame. And hog rings...
Got the coop almost done. Pop door framed out.
Roof framed and Gable end panels framed and hinged. I'll figure out how I want to keep them open.
Dragged it outside for sheathing and metal roofing as I only had about 3/4” clearance on the garage door.
Cleared out the spot, and put it in it's...
Don't have to remove any staples.
The outside window flange only has 9 screws. Back those out and the windows are free. And yes it took me all of 20 seconds to unlatch and slide window open through the HC.
Now, if I was creative enough. Ok, ok smart enough, I would have thought about your...
Damnit.... Glad I didn't trim out the windows yet.
Isn't the first mistake I've made during this build. And I'm very confident it won't be the last either. :barnie
Didn't get as much done today as I hoped. Got the HC installed on all 4 windows.
Made the back door from the piece of siding I cut from the opening. Framed it with some 1x4's.
Still need to get a latch of some sort.
