Well, it's nearly 11:00PM Saturday night, and my husband is literally up a tree. He put his climbing stand up really high with a view across the chicken-yard, and he left the three remaining pullets in a heavy-duty wire cage (dog-show crate) on the outside of the pen as "bait." Cross your...

Might be semantics but I cannot hunt deer on my property out of season because they are "managed", not endangered or protected.
Right--that's how it is here. There IS a regular hunting season for fox, but it doesn't begin until September, and there are special restrictions in place...

Yeah...ironically, he looks thinner now than he did this winter (we have gamecam pics of him from then, but on the OUTSIDE of our fence). I guess he didn't ration out those TWENTY-THREE birds he killed very well.

We have not had any breaches by raccoon or fox since the serious electric fence went up. (fingers crossed)
I'm hoping we can hold him off until we get some guidance. We're trying to do everything totally above board. We have all kinds of traps, and Alex is a darn good shot. First chance he...
From the Game-Cam, last night. We have two cams set up, at different angles, and in this shot, he's standing DIRECTLY in front of the gate to the chicken-yard, staring right at the camera--it probably caught his attention when it flashed to take his picture. We're trying everything to catch...
