My E E girls were all late bloomers. 7-8 months old before they started to lay. But, their eggs are lovely and well worth the wait. (Although, I do have one, with a muff and a beard who lays a cream colored egg.)
I have one exactly like her. Hatcheries and feed stores will call them Ameraucanas. There is much dispute about that. The term Easter Egger has less to do with features and more to do with the color of their eggs. Our girl's eggs are a very lovely blue!
