Yea I do see what you mean. Although the center one is so light too, couldn't it also be a splash?

Maybe it is the lighting I took the picture in, but she is most definitely beginning to feather out blue. Red or gold, not 100% sure but Im just satisfied by having a blue bird. I'll be sure to add more update pics soon. :)

Just an update! Turns out, it is blue!!! I just needed to be patient for the poor girl... Thank you for those who commented :)

I sure do hope so! I was so excited to get this color. I mean of being fine if it was black but was really looking forward to adding the blue to my flock.

I got this 'Blue laced red Wyandotte' chick from the store. Lady had Black laced and apparently this one was the last "blue". As she is feathering out, I cant help but see black. Is this blue or black? The down seems blue, and it almost looks like it is blue, but its so dark it really seems...
