Guess the next obvious question for OP is, how high up are the roosts?

What is the ramp for, to get up to the roost bars? Most breeds of birds should be able to fly up, doesn't look all that high.

Pretty confusing design. A "roost ladder" is simply a roost with bars at different heights, i.e. If you're putting nest boxes outside, are you going to be able to shelter them enough to keep rain and wind out? Will the hens have access to them from early morning to sunset?
