You could try adding extra padding to the nest box to help reduce risk of cracking, since chickens stand up right before laying and that can lead to cracked ends especially if the shell on the egg isn't top notch.
The bumps are just excess calcium blobs.
Is the shell at the cracked end thinner than the rest?
Do you know which bird laid this, or the ages of the birds in general? Could be a new layer's glitch, or I see eggs like this with my older birds that have trouble forming strong shells.
