I got curious, how did things turn out for this bird? My roo got a little snotty himself a week or so ago and rather than eat him I decided to try something. It worked great!! Then I remembered this post.

I agree, no small children are allowed near this rooster. If that's not an option it's probably time to either rehome or make chicken and biscuits. That's a shame, sorry to hear about all the hassle.

Sounds like he learned to be defensive. I know a rooster like that. Great to have around when free ranging. The one I know would proudly die before allowing anything to hurt his girls. But what a pain he is to get near.
