I always wrap my eggs with bubble wrap, and then also newspaper. By the time I pack the news paper in the box around them, they are well cushioned. I have not had any reports of damage on eggs I have shipped.

It is a shame they handle packages so badly. I always insure at my expense, but don't know that it does any good. I had some eggs destroyed last summer, turned in the claim and never got anything back from the post office. They make you jump through hoops to turn in a claim, then don't refund...
