I agree that livestock or any animal for that matter should have clean water and good quality food. After all we don't drink muddy water and eat moldy food do we? Anyone who gets animals needs to realize that it WILL be a big responsibility and the animals deserve no less than perfect in my opinion.

She may have been referring to the milking. Normally you have to milk them twice a day if they are for dairy. Plus if she is showing them then they have to be in the best condition possible. Not her so i don't know just trying to help lol.

I've never had any livestock besides goats. I have a mini farm, goats and chickies. I hope to add piggies to the mix someday i also love rabbits but i think we are good for now lol. I think they are well worth they're weight in trouble though.
