I agree with you that they are obviously domestic, however even here if people try to take obviously domestic ducks from our lakes and parks, the fine is astronomical. I was just curious, which is why I asked. Thank you for setting me straight.

This might be a silly question, but is there a reason that you took an egg from a pond? Here in California, only licensed wildlife rehabilitation staff can relocate fowl/eggs. Just curious!
