Good! 4 successful chicks and 3 that didn't hatch, we broke them open and none of them was the yolk back in their belly. So would this mean they died a few days before hatching. But the other 4 seem to be doing well eating and drinking and sleeping
End of day 21: 4 chicks hatched successfully out of 7. The other 3 have no signs of hatching yet! But of course going to give them a couple days. I cant wait to hatch another clutch. Only did 11 this time being my first time, and am looking forward to filling the incubator next time around. I'd...
Thanks so much. The more I look at it it did look like an umbilical cord of sorts. It's been drying up. Also another question! The chicks are running around running into other eggs. Will this affect the other trying to hatch or is that just part of Mother Nature?!

Update! Day 21, no pips on any eggs yet but I can hear chirping and they're wiggling around occasionally. So anxious and nervous. I'd be happy with one successful chick! Andddd I think I'm overthinking it too which makes me even more worried!
I am on end of day 19 going on day 20 of my first try at incubating chicken eggs. I collected the eggs from my existing flock. I started with 11 eggs and am now down to 7! Some were infertile. I am extremely nervous about the next couple days and was wondering if anyone had any advice! They are...
