    Roosters mounting rooster?

None of them should be blushing, it should be me. My question said it was a rooster. It had me so convinced that it was in the bachelor pen. And then quarantined for not acting like a rooster.

    Roosters mounting rooster?

They must. It had me completely convinced. I was trying to figure out what to do with it because I was thinking something was wrong with it and we shouldn't eat it. When I put it near my true flock (not the bachelor pad), my 3 year old rooster started dancing for it and offering treats. Maybe...

    Roosters mounting rooster?

You are allowed to be sceptical because you didn't see it. I know it did it because I had it quarantined while I figured out what to do with it because I thought it was a sick rooster. Because it didn't act like a rooster. But I don't feel like calling it a hen either because it doesn't look...

    Roosters mounting rooster?

We have our answer "he" layed an egg. On closer inspection of the neck feathers, they are not thin, they are stripped. But it still looks like a rooster to me. It acts like a hen though and lays eggs.

    Roosters mounting rooster?

A few of them crow. The leader crows all the time. But I have never seen this one crow. Maybe it is a hen. It looks too pretty to be one though. Here is a closer picture.

    Roosters mounting rooster?

I am starting to be not sure. He looks like a rooster. Seems to have hackle and saddle feathers. But my husband thinks it acts like a hen. And the other roosters seem to think so too.

    Roosters mounting rooster?

I separated him and everyone seems happier. There is just chicken wire between him and his brothers so he can see them but they can't reach him. After separating, most weird behavior has stopped. It was just very weird because everyone did get along until yesterday. Then everyone kept mounting...

    Roosters mounting rooster?

It's a bachelor set up. They are mostly for meat. We were planning on keeping him because he is so nice. So I could try moving him to the real coop. But since the sitting does seem like an odd behavior (that didn't even dawn on me until on here), I don't want to put him in there until I am sure...

    Roosters mounting rooster?

They are not really aggressive. It just seems excessive and he's starting to have feather damage. He doesn't seem lethargic. I was worried about that too. But while he is laying down, he pecks at the grass. And when he does walk, his walk seems fine, but not as upright as his brothers. He is...

    Roosters mounting rooster?

So should I separate him. He is so nice that I hate seeing him getting picked on. He is the only one who let's my son hold him.

    Roosters mounting rooster?

I recently got 7 roosters from someone who was getting rid of the extras. One of the roosters keeps getting mounted. I know that roosters can do this to show dominance, but it is the sweetest one. It does spend a lot of time laying down and doesn't act like the other boys, but it doesn't look...
