I just set 20 eggs today. My Gold Laced Polish have started to lay. I set 13 of those. I have two EE girls and I set 7 of their eggs at the same time. I love my Polish.

I had a chick just hatch that I didn't eve know had pipped. It's only day 19. I'm sooooo excited. It's an EE from my own stock

I just put the three eggs from my back yard into lockdown. 2 are EE and one is from a mystery chicken. I don't know if it came from a polish or my lone mottled houdan. I guess we will find out hopefully. I candled it right before lockdown and it looked good.

When I called the guy to order them, I just assumed that they were large fowl. We never discussed the size of the birds. When they arrived today, the eggs were small . But I have realized that they just wont take up as much space and I can keep more of them lol

I set 31 bantam wyandottes tonight. I have columbian, partridge and blue.

I already have standard sized Silver Appleyards. These are more or less for the kids (I can't admit I have a problem lol)

I am thinking about growing them until they reach maturity, then keep a trio and sell the rest. I think we are just gonna have to wait and see how many of the little buggers grow on me. I hope a I have a good hatch. I hear calls are really hard to hatch sometimes. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I just bought another 1588 . My DH is gonna kill me when he gets home. I've already got it up and running. I picked it up from Cackle Hatchery this morning because I am in the same town as they are. I bought too many eggs . Well after I get all these eggs I'm getting this week hatched...
