    Broody Leghorn

    As a kid I helped at an egg production farm - old fashioned with large barn/coops and wooden nest boxes. The lady had a smaller pen for broody hens. Through the summer there were generally a half dozen or more leghorn hens in there. It happens, and they can be successful mothers.
