My own first Dobe when I was a baby came from a good breeder. She was an awesome dog and grew up with me. I've owned the blacks, reds and a blue once. They are wonderful dogs.

As a kid, my family raised AKC Dobes. They were great dogs and were fine with our cats, but they do shed a good bit. I love Dobes, as long as they are neutered and not inbred.
