Well, it's bad news for my future in duck parenting...
Due to an unfortunate change in living arrangements soon, I must now find a new loving home, or homes, for my 5 beautiful young ducks - (including my 3 Welsh females - why I'm adding a post here) :(
I am looking for a pet only, freezer...
Just an update - we've re-arranged the living accommodations in the duck barn to give Sweet Pea a more protected sleeping area, and are going to try to push through for the time being - Sweet Pea will be staying here with her flock for now. :)

Well, we've had some issues lately with our Pekin drake, 'Squirt' over powering our smallest Welshie 'Sweet Pea' now that it's mating season and nature has taken over his drive - he's just much bigger than she is :(
He's gotten into the habit of grabbing her head (as apposed to the back of her...
+1 on Metzer - I wanted only female Welshies, so I got 3 WH females in September from Metzer - beautiful ducks, healthy as can be and all the have great personalities.
Metzer was a pleasure to work with as well.

Sorry to hear you lost yours :(
I've been very diligent at building as near a predator proof enclosure for my ducks as I could - 4x4 framing, 1/2" x 1/2" coated, welded wire screwed over all openings, and no gaps in their barn or day pen any larger than 1/2" - on top of that, they only get...
The 'new' Welshies . . . 7 weeks old!! (haven't named them as yet, still watching their personalities develop - currently referring to them collectively as the "Little's")
