Fall Dumped Ducklings. Not a Recipe!

They might, might not. My 2 runners don’t fight each other, but one of them wants to kill one of my pekins during breeding season, so they’re separated by a fence they can see each other through.

They are amazing birds! Once I saw a fawn and white runner, I knew I had to get one. My black runner has more personality, but my fawn and white doesn’t fight once I pick him up.

Fall Dumped Ducklings. Not a Recipe!

My runners were very skittish when I got them at 6 months old. I’m confident they were not abused. They would mash themselves up into a wall to get away from me. They’re much better, a year later now, they will not totally freak when handled, and like being near me.

They’re just joking about how German can easily sound a little angry with little effort. (As can any language) I took German for 3 years in high school, so I kinda get it. Like any language it can sound very pretty too, like when we sang it, or acted out fairy tales. It was a fun class!

I love that you speak to your ducks in German! They’ll warm up to you. My runners took a while to Get comfortable but they came around.
