Hi from Ga. Today 5/18/2012 we completed 2 more pens and put roofs on the existing pens. So far we have completed 5 pens and 4 runs. Next week we will start on some of the nest boxes and watering systems.
4/6/2012 The process is slow but we have added runs to the first 2 pens. And completed the first nest box. Hopefully next month I can add the next 2 pens. Once the 4 pens are completed on this side I will install the metal roof.
Hi from Ga. We have over a hundred at this time. By the time the new coop is done we will have 12 pens. We go thru 15 to 20 bags of feed a month. This hobby can get addictive.

The chickens can be happy in used tires. Most coops are for the pacification of the owner. Check back next month and you will see how I can go off the deep end.

Yesterday I moved my main chicken fence back 30' to make my main yard 50' deep.
My yard goes about 60' in opposite direction.
5 years ago I built my first coop.
I still use this pen for eating eggs ( usually 10 hens and 1 rooster )
I have 4 other pens 6'x 12' for other breeds.
