There's probably someone right in your area that can give some input and help you out.
Don't know what part of the north you're in, but if you have a secure, draft proof coop and your birds are fully feathered I'd wait until 8 to 12 weeks. I turn off the lights as soon as mine feather out and make sure they handle the brooder first. The bad thing about heat in a coop and I know...
