I didn't mean for that to sound condescending. Sorry it sounded that way. More meant how your dog looks like the neighbors and I can see how she would think it wasn't a threat and feeding the birds on the fence line. Like a perfect storm, so to speak.

Oh man, sorry to hear about your girl. Hopefully she recovers fully. She looks pretty good in that last pic for what she went thru, but I know they hide it well. Sardines and tuna in water are super good for them in need if you didn't know... 👍 And of course the babies are cuteness x 1000 !! ♥️

Yes it really does.....it gets even better when one of your hens that you raised goes broody and hatches her own. That's funny tho, the wife let's our mixed flock in the house also. They come knocking at the slider for blueberries 🤣

Awesome hatch so far... I don't recall if you said what incubator you got? I like the view tho. I'm partial to black myself, that's pretty much every shirt I wear cuz every other color just turns black anyways...🤣 But anyways I love seeing the Marans flock out, all black flock roaming the yard...

Hopefully your Marans are just late hatching. And good call taking notes, I'm trying to take more notes also, but man...it's hard. Life is just too busy...

Yes, it's hard getting pic colors. I notice my Marans eggs always seem lighter in pics than in real life. And you may have a better chance this time with a roo in with the older girls. I hope you get a good one, it was a shame you had to cull the others. Would've been neat to see them grow out...

Curious what color egg that FOE is...looks tan/beige to me? Very interested to see that one hopefully hatch. I need some fibros in my mixed flock...🙂
