Does anyone know how I can keep a female call duck quiet? I live in a home that's not in an area zoned for farm animals. I raised a Muscovy from chick till he was 8 and had to be put down due to growths in is stomach and he was bleeding from the mouth. But he was a drake and only hissed. This...
thanks for the info. I do leave fresh water and food available at all times.....along with toys. This is the first time she's ever been like this. I put the TV on and that seemed to calm her. She's been ok for a couple of hours. Fingers crossed.
How do I keep my female call duck from making those super loud quacks? She's a house duck and I'm afraid that the neighbors are going to hear her and start complaining. I don't know what to do.
When would she do her first moult? She's just over 6 weeks. I had one friend already tell me that she is a definite female. And I know because she's pretty loud. All that noise from a tiny bird. Amazing.
I even have a tattoo of Daffy. It was taken from an actual picture of him. After his death, I had his birth and death year added. Kind of brought it together.
Yes.....I will try to get you a video of Baby playing with her ball. It's too darn cute!! She cuddles up with her bear, too. Just don't want to make our neighbors mad at us with our new noise maker. lol
No....it is much bigger then it appears. My Muscovy loved his home. He would even come to us to tell us it was time for bed. And he was a big boy!! Yes......going from a slow, quiet Muscovy to a hyper, little call duckling.......been a HOOT so far!! lol
She's a house duck. She'll get a diaper holder like Daffy had, that way she can run around at night. She takes a bath in our tub. Daffy had favorite toys he played with and Baby is starting to snuggle up to her "Poo Bear" and rolls her ball around. Amazing creatures. Like a little dinosaur!!!
