My Rooster has poop stuck to his butt

My injured rooster has been laying down because he is injured, and he has lots of POOP Stuck to his butt I'm wondering if I should wipe it off, because there are flies flying around him. Do I just put him on a table, wear a pair of gloves and wipe his but with a paper towel? Please type a list of things that I should do to help him. Also will probiotics help him and electrolytes? I have some left over from when they were chicks.
 
The vitamins are probably old. I would suggest buying some new or perhaps scrambling some eggs. Fly strike is a terrible, deadly problem that has been causing lots of problems around the country (its caused by maggots eating the bird alive) so keep flies away! You can trim the dirty feathers away, or try washing him. The feathers will grow back eventually.
I would suggest getting him on save-a-chick, rooster booster, or nutri-drench and probiotics should help also. Keep him comfortable so he doesn't develop sores, since he is laying down all the time.
