This is my 4 month old Blue Cochin hen. I'm wondering what everyone thinks of her breeding stock wise, and show wise
To me the color is too patchy. It's desirable to have more uniform slate blue, darker hackles and tails is fine. The more lacing the better.
That's not saying it wouldn't be of value in breeding. You'd have to evaluate the body to standard and determine that. But for showing this particular bird for variety it's color isn't most desired.
