My Icelandic chick hatched three days late with severely curled toes. Her toes curls under and she sort of walked on the tops of her outermost toes. I made her some Bandaid booties and left them on for 48 hours. She was able to get around fine with the other chicks wearing the booties. Here is her before picture during and after pictures. All the toes are straight now, even the one that looks crooked in the picture. She wasn't cooperating and just wanted to poop on my mousepad. I'm happy!

Edited to add a tip: Wipe the feet really good with baby oil to remove tape residue before putting baby back in brooder. I looked over and saw my little guy with rice hull bedding and poop stuck to his feet! He's free and clear now and running with the best of them!

My tiny Ameraucana hatched three days late as well and also has booties and the poor thing has to deal with the splay leg treatment as well

But I think she's going to make it and be able to get around
